The Account Manager serves as the primary liaison between hospice organizations and Fuze Care Services. This role ensures that hospices have access to pharmacy solutions that meet their clinical and operational needs, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and optimizing cost-effective strategies for end-of-life care. The Account Manager builds strong relationships with hospice clients, provides strategic guidance, and leverages data analytics to improve utilization and outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Act as the main point of contact for hospice clients, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.
- Understand client needs and recommend pharmacy solutions that align with hospice care goals.
- Drive client retention through proactive engagement and strategic support.
- Travel up to 50% to visit clients in person.
Pharmacy Solution Coordination
- Identify and recommend pharmacy partners and solutions that meet hospice requirements.
- Ensure alignment between hospice protocols and Fuze services, including formulary management and cost-containment strategies.
- Collaborate with internal clinical pharmacists to validate clinical appropriateness of solutions.
Operational Support
- Coordinate implementation of new hospice groups, ensuring smooth onboarding and education.
- Work with internal teams (clinical, billing, operations) to support accurate claims processing and service delivery.
Issue Resolution
- Address and resolve client inquiries, escalations, and service concerns promptly.
- Provide education on Fuze processes, hospice medication protocols, and best practices.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Review hospice utilization data and medication spend to identify trends and opportunities.
- Prepare and present quarterly business reviews with actionable recommendations.
Business Development
- Identify opportunities for service enhancements and growth within existing accounts.
- Upsell clinically appropriate solutions when beneficial to patient care and client operations.
Client Education & Partnership
- Deliver training sessions on Fuze systems, formulary compliance, and medication ordering processes.
- Act as a trusted advisor to hospice leadership, offering insights and best practices.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of account management experience
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong presentation skills, including the ability to create and deliver content in both virtual and in-person settings
- Exceptional communication, active listening, problem-solving, and relationship-building abilities
- Demonstrated project management expertise
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive both individually and as part of a team
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
- Experience in PBM or hospice care account management
- Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and related reporting tools
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy benefit structures, hospice regulations, and medication management practices
- Understanding of hospice care models, end-of-life medication protocols, and formulary development

Additional Physical Job Requirements
Physical requirements for this role include the ability to work at a computer terminal with monitor, keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, and reach for equipment and supplies, make frequent repetitive motions required to operate a computer that include the wrists, hands and fingers, and lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects up to 20 pounds. The role also requires the ability to effectively communicate through verbal interactions, discern auditory information, and visually perceive details to perform essential job functions.
This position requires occasional travel therefore you must be able to sit for extended periods of time on airplanes and/or in vehicles, lift and carry luggage independently, navigate long distances through airports and other travel locations independently, and adjust to different time zones and climates.

Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: $75,000-$100,000
