Responsibilities
- Support design activities for systems and components
- Interact with other departments and/or suppliers to collect input data for simulation and model building and/or testing
- Support improvements in modelling techniques to help increase simulation accuracy and engineering knowhow
- Store and organize simulation input files and results
- Collaborate with V&V and Testing teams in defining testing scope and procedures. Perform testing when required
- Follow available work instructions and department’s procedures to ensure quality of results
- Peer review results and reports before they are submited
- Mentor less experienced colleagues
- Write technical documents, guidelines, work instructions, prepare presentations, and communicate the results to customers
- Review mechanical integrity and/or NVH requirements
- Perform mechanical integrity and/or NVH analysis, interpret and present results
- Support design activities by proposing appropriate solutions based on rational engineering design practice
- Perform mechanical integrity and/or NVH design reviews
- Collaborate with validation and verification teams and testing teams on defining the scope of tests and testing procedures. Prepare components for testing and participate in testing as needed
- Postprocess test data and perform numerical model calibration and verification
- Provide suggestions and design improvements based on simulation and/or experimental data
Requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or similar field
- Experience in mechanical integrity and/or NVH analysis and testing
- Advanced knowledge of static and dynamic response of structures
- Experience with tools such as Abaqus, Ansys, ANSA/META, AVL Excite, Dewesoft
- Commitment to project plans and promised deliverables
- Good communication and organization skills
- Excellent knowledge of English language
