Brief summary of role:

Ready to bring your Technical leadership development experience from complex enterprise environments to Copado? The Copado Product Development team is looking for a Lead Software Engineer. This role will provide leadership to the team of software engineers.

The Salesforce Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for all technical aspects in developing a Salesforce based product. It primarily involves code development (Visualforce and Apex), and any other related technical aspects of integrations with external applications and data. A technical lead is expected to have extensive experience in software development, including, but not limited to, Salesforce technologies such as Visualforce, Lightning component and Apex. 

The role is expected to have a split of their time with approximately 60% dedicated to development work and 40% spent collaborating with Product Owners, Architects and Release Managers and Developers. The Lead will be responsible for documenting the technical requirements and design and manage developers throughout the development, testing and support all phases of development. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and contribute to all technical aspects of features development in the product. 
  • Manage the development and deployment of new demands, enhancements to existing features in the product module. 
  • Collect system requirements, perform analysis, coordinate the design of solutions and meet metric for success. 
  • Experience with Salesforce.com Governor limits, Lightning UI, Apex, and performance optimisation
  • Ensure that development standards meet business needs and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues. 
  • Provide detailed design and documentation of each component of the solution such as data migration, integration and custom development. 
  • Coordinate with geographically distributed teams in support of development activities
  • Maintain high customer focus through the delivery of high-quality, timely, and thorough solutions
  • Perform scope analysis and corresponding effort estimates for all development
  • Work closely with Product Owners / Product Line Managers to realize the full capabilities of Salesforce based product
  • Mentor junior team members in Marketing Cloud technology, Integration Technologies, and Salesforce best practices
  • Work within an Agile environment to deliver value to the customer at the end of each sprint
  • Create and maintain professional development for self and immediate team mates

We are looking for someone with:

  • 2+ years of technical team leadership experience
  • 5+ years direct experience in software development and/or programming design and systems management
  • Salesforce/ Force.com custom development using Visualforce and Apex
  • Experience with Partner or Communities Portals Preferred
  • Broader programming technologies such as HTML, XML, JSON, jQuery, SOAP, AJAX, JavaScript, git, Cloud Technology overview
  • Strong experience in Reporting 
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to learn quickly
  • Strong communication skills
  • Salesforce Certification (Advanced Developer or Platform Developer 1 preferred)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or closely related field or equivalent experience
